MON Galleryでは、1月20日から2月12日まで紺野乃芙子個展、赤土と豚血釉／白土と珊瑚釉を開催します。
本展では、沖縄県北部を拠点にかねてより沖縄の土を使って特徴的な器を数多く生み出してきた紺野乃芙子が生み出す2種類の相反する焼物（やちむん）を展示。ひとつは「士に還る」をテーマに沖縄で採られる赤土と豚の血で作られる「土器シリ ーズ」•もう 一方は同県内で採られる白土に珊瑚の釉薬を施したシリ ーズが並びます。器の製作で使用される素材は沖縄にあるものですが、それぞれ全く異なった風合いです。一点一点の器が内包する力強い質感と仔まいをご堪能ください。
紺野さんは、1月20日・1月21日にご在廊いただきます。

1983大阪府生まれ。 2006沖縄県立芸術大学卒業。 2008沖縄県名護市にて作陶を始める。 沖縄のエ房で沖縄の士にこだわりテーマを持った唯一の作品を制作。

MON Gallery is pleased to present Nobuko Konno's solo exhibition, Red Clay and Pig's Blood Glaze / White Clay and Coral Glaze, from 20 January to 12 February.
The exhibition features two types of contradictory pottery (yamuchin) produced by Nobuko Konno, who is based in northern Okinawa Prefecture and has used Okinawan clay to produce several distinctive vessels. One is an 'earthenware series' made from Okinawan red clay and pig's blood under the theme of 'returning to earth', while the other is a series made from a white clay from the same prefecture with a coral glaze. The materials used in the production of the vessels are from Okinawa Prefecture, but each has a completely different texture. Please enjoy the powerful textures and the presence of each vessel.
Nobuko Konno
Born in 1983 in Osaka. Graduated from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 2006. 2008 Started making ceramics in Nago City, Okinawa. Her theme of creation is to produce pottery works using Okinawan material at her studio based in Okinawa.
