MONでは、東京を拠点に活動するグラフィックデザインスタジオ「Tanuki」による展示を開催いたします。Tanukiは書籍デザインを多く手掛けており、今回の展示では「本」をテーマに企画を展開します。約3週間にわたる会期中は滞在型で進行し、会場内にて書籍が組み立てられていく過程をご覧いただけます。加えて、これまでTanukiがデザインしてきた書籍の制作プロセスもご紹介し、デザインがかたちを成していく過程を多角的に体感いただける機会となります。
MONは、ブランディングを軸としたデザイン事務所・エコノシスデザインが運営するギャラリー&ワインバーです。今回、MONに外部のデザインスタジオをお招きし展示を実現することは、同じ領域に携わる者同士だからこそ生まれる発見を共有できる、ユニークな試みといえます。書籍をデザインしていく際の思考や過程に触れることで、皆さまとデザインの奥深さや創造の可能性を共有できれば幸いです。

グラフィックデザインスタジオ。国内外問わず文化施設やアーティスト、写真家、建築設計事務所、出版社、その他企業やブランドなど様々なコラボレーターと協働する。デザインの過程における対話に重点を置きながら、印刷物やWeb、ビジュアルアイデンティティー、空間におけるサインデザインなど様々な領域で活動する。スローガンは「Inspired by laughter and humor」。

We are pleased to present an exhibition by Tanuki, a Tokyo-based graphic design studio. Tanuki, known for its extensive work in book design, will develop this exhibition around the theme of ‘books’. The residency-style event will run for approximately three weeks, allowing visitors to witness the process of books being assembled within the venue. Furthermore, the exhibition will showcase the production processes behind books previously designed by Tanuki, offering a multifaceted opportunity to experience how design takes shape.
MON is a gallery and wine bar operated by Econosys Design, a design team centred on branding. Inviting an external design studio to exhibit at MON represents a unique endeavour, enabling the sharing of discoveries that can only arise between practitioners within the same field. We hope that by engaging with the thought processes and stages involved in designing books, we can share with you the depth of design and the possibilities of creativity.
